Neurofrontiers is, quite obviously, a neuroscience blog/website dedicated to making brain-related information available to a wide audience.
It began in 2020, during the pandemic, as a bilingual English-Romanian platform. Its founder, NeuroNerd, started it partly as a way to stay connected with the broader neuroscience literature beyond the scope of their own research, and partly out of a desire to make complex brain-related topics more accessible beyond the lab. The bilingual aspect was born from the observation that while neuroscience information in English was quite abundant, in Romanian there was almost nothing of quality available to the general public.
Since then, the aim has become slightly more ambitious: to help close the language gap in neuroscientific communication. Through The brain across languages project, Neurofrontiers now tries to bring brain-related knowledge to communities worldwide, no matter the size of their language.
